Free to Be- giving you back you!

Life has thrown its challenges my way over the past few years, I have been very lucky to work with Dany Griffiths for many years, right back to my pregnancy and birth (19 years ago ! ) my children growing up, the loss of my mum and through my marriage and it's breakdown.   The Free Life Formula are tools for life and have been my friend through it all and are now part of my every day life, I will be eternally grateful for having them/her there with me forever more!

You can not feel excited and positive all day every day, that would be exhausting, but it's nice to enjoy those feelings and not hit the really challenging parts of life feeling unable to cope. How often do we question why we feel the way you do? You might wake up feeling light and happy one day then within a short space of time, a bit down and low, maybe becoming irritable & unable to think straight, you may find you often wake up feeling anxious and worried, leading to being short tempered or tearful and you can't really work out why? Or you may know why but you just don't know what to do.

On the surface everything looks OK, you are putting on a brave face but underneath there is a nagging feeling of anxiety, not feeling satisfied, unhappy and unfulfilled.

We all want to be fine, but we all have 'stuff' going on that takes us from feeling fine, to feeling less than fine and when we repeatedly ignore the low moments, the nagging thoughts over and over again and we just keep saying 'I am fine thank you how are you?' and distracting ourselves away with another binge on Netflix, a hard workout at the gym, or a large glass of vino, we get really good at ignoring what is actually going on with us, not that there is anything wrong with any of these things, but if we use them regularly to ignore the feelings that keep showing up, that's when we mask what's really going on underneath!

How you feel is an 'Internal Life Navigation System’, it’s kept us safe and in control since Cave Man days,  but over the years, life has got complicated, and we have learnt to ignore it rather than understand it.

Your feelings are actually trying to tell you something, to help you, but we squash them back into the box, no time to deal with how we really feel and we repeat the pattern until the feelings pop up again and again until we can't not ignore them anymore, then what do we do?

We look for reasons for how we re feeling,  I need to socialise more, I need to take an exercise class, I need to connect more with my partner, I need a partner! I have lost my zest for life, is it the house, the job, friendship groups, money worries, family relationships, some or all of the above!

Wow that's far too much to deal with so let’s just not!!!! Back to Netflix and a Beer!
